I've had this watch for a year or less and over the course of the year, the watch will randomly reset to January 1st, 2005 throughout the day. Sometimes it's when I'm using the stopwatch feature and other times I'm not even touching the buttons. I then have to take the time to manually reset the time, only to have it reset back to 2005, 30 minutes later. This watch is also supposed to sync to the correct time over night and it rarely does that. My coworker has the same watch and having the same issues.
