The top of the dress is yellow velour with velour straps double batiste collar and three pink roses. It has a pink attached velour band at the hips with a satin sash with six roses. The bottom of the dress is a flowing 3 layers of sheer batiste,mesh and satin. The roses are all hand stitched, the inseams are made on a machine. The machine stitches are of the highest quality! The colors are very vibrant and radiant. This dress definitely will stand out in any store room, display window or any family gathering. It is very distinguished and elegant! My own personal experience with this particular garment was delightful. My granddaughters eyes lit up when she saw it and she could not wait to put it on. This will make any little girls dream a reality! I received size medium which is size 6-7. My only complaint is that in the item description it says age range 2-3 years. I have included the size range available for this product in the pictures. I would say the dress would be available for ages 2-8. Now everything about the dress is gorgeous. It is more like a special occasions costume dress rather than your run of the mill costume. The description on the site is perfect other than the age range. "KidKraft Yellow Rose Princess Dress Up Costume: Age Range: 2 to 3 years Perfect for playing pretend, or even as an extra fancy Halloween costume Double-lined velour bodice Hand-stitched hot pink organdy roses on neckline and skirt Center bodice rose has gold lurex leaves Hot pink velour ribbon waistband Available in XS, S, M and L" The dress is true to size and again I must add, it is gorgeous! The washing instructions say spot clean only. I haven't tried, but I think it would hold up to cold water hand washing. I'd check the roses for running first. Then hang dry for sure. The only thing I would like to add again is that this dress is a very well done costume. Would make a great Princess dress at a any pretend occasion.
