This shell kit is design and fit for PS3 controller of 2nd generation and newer only.
The 2nd generation controlelr can be identified by the model number on the rear of the controller， it should begin with "CECHZC2".(Not 6 Axis)
The shell kit will not fil for PS3 controller which is fake. They only work on official controller for PS3 manufactured after 2010. If your controller has a little piece between the top and bottom shell at the R1/L1 triggers， then will not fit correctly.
