How to use Sea Salts for baths:
For every day baths, use a handful or 1-2 cups of salt in half a bathtub of water and soak for 20-30min. Alternatively, dissolve a smaller amount of sea salt in a basin of water and sponge or soak affected areas such as the body, hands or feet. Be sure to drink lots of water as the detoxification process will pull moisture from your body.
Red Hawaiian Clay Sea Salt
C'est Naturel's Red Hawaiian Clay Sea Salt is produced from a mixture of pure Pacific Sea Salt and healing Hawaiian red clay from Kauai. The clay is a natural mineral and rich in iron oxide. It is added to the salt for its beneficial trace elements. This natural additive is what gives the salt its distinctive rich red colour. The salt mixes well with other dried ingredients, essential oils and herbs.
The Red Hawaiian Clay is traditionally used for healing cuts and minor injuries, and is also mixed with other ingredients for specific health ailments. For example, it is combined with powdered awa (kava), known for its sedative properties, and blended with honey. The mixture is massaged into the body which exfoliates and stimulates circulation at the same time. The body is then wrapped to allow the minerals to be absorbed into the body.
The clay and salt in a bath is very effective for drawing out impurities. The high mineral content makes this a very therapeutic bath salt and is a great exfoliator. It is also suitable for facials, and is often used for oily skin and breakouts of acne, poison ivy and rashes.
