The present therapeutic indications include constipation for the regulation of the physiological rhythm of the colon or where a soft stool is considered of medical benefit (i.e. haemorrhoids, post-colonic/anal surgery). 

WHO CAN USE DUPHALAC

Duphalac® has an enviable track record of tolerability and safety in over 50 years of clinical use in constipation over all age groups. This has been confirmed by large numbers of clinical studies with thousands of constipated patients worldwide.

At the beginning of treatment, flatulence may occur. As a rule it disappears after a few days. When dosages higher than instructed are used, abdominal pain and diarrhoea may occur. In such a case the dosage should be decreased.
