Stainless Steel jewelery is a great investment besides it being cost-friendly, the attributes of stainless steel is such that it:

1. Cannot be tarnished

2. Cannot be discolored (unlike usual jewelry that are made of composite alloys)

3. Cannot be destroyed by frequent usage

4. Is amazingly hypoallergenic

    

As of all good things, it is still not completely perfect. Stainless steel is easily scratched. It is thus good to make it a habit to put them in little bags to prevent scratches. It might be even worthwhile to conside keep each side of your earrings seperately.
