
Riceberry is a new variety of rice that has been cultivated in Thailand since 2013. It is regarded as the highest grade of rice. Riceberry is a cross pollination of two hardy and well-loved rice strains - white jasmine rice and black jasmine rice. It takes on the best attributes of each of these grains: the light fluffy texture and flavour from white jasmine rice, and the benefitsfrom black jasmine rice.
Riceberry rice has been graded as low-medium in the glycemic index. The abundant fiber and bran oil which it contains helps to reduce the risks of diabetes by hindering the absorption of sugars into the blood through the stomach. It also helps the pancreas function better.

Suggested cooking instructions:
1.Add 1.5 parts of water to 1 part of riceberry.
2.Rinse the desired amount of riceberry thoroughly.
3.Riceberry maybe soaked in water up to 30 minutes before cooking.
4.Cook the riceberry in a rice cooker, steam it or gently heat it in a pan until fluffy.
