Tillandsia Streptophylla, also known as Shirley Temple is an interesting species of air plants. This species is native to Central America, Mexico, and the West Indies (Bahamas, Cuba, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos Islands).
This species will grow well under varied conditions. It is aone of the easy to grow Tilly and also one of the more thirsty type.
Tillandsia Streptophylla is a pretty unique and interesting species because when its leaves get dehydrated, it curl up into tighter ringlets instead of the edges of a leaf curling up toward each other. Some loves the way it's leaves is elongated when it is opened up while other might like it all curled up like a ball when it is dehydrated. And would it be possible to control the amount of curl in the leaves by the hydration the plant receives then? And isn't it interesting to placed them next to the King of Tillandsia; Xerographica since this is a Queen of Tillandsia ?
Tillandsia Streptophylla grows a gorgeous, pink inflorescence that is frosted with trichomes. It size can range from 10 cm to 30 cm.
