BUILD QUALITY AND DESIGN
In terms of form, the Inspire 2 isn’t really a huge departure from the original model. It sports the same prop configuration, the same retractable landing gear system, and more or less the same body style. There are, however, a few small design upgrades that make the Inspire 2 more versatile and capable than its predecessors — despite the fact that it doesn’t look much different.
The most notable and noticeable design change is undoubtedly the Inspire’s new forward-facing FPV camera and obstacle-avoidance system. Both systems live in a nose-mounted sensor bar, which contains a small optical lens and two laser rangefinders. Aesthetically, it’s a fairly minor change — but in terms of functionality, these systems provide a huge benefit. Obstacle avoidance gives the drone the ability to autonomously prevent crashes, while the FPV camera allows the pilot (or pilots) to keep track of the Inspire’s heading, regardless of where the Zenmuse X5S might be facing.

BATTERY LIFE AND RECHARGE TIME
Battery life is hugely improved in the new Inspire. Whereas the original and Pro versions averaged about 15 minutes per charge, the Inspire 2 is rated for 27 minutes of flight time. In a simple hover test, we got just over 25 minutes of flight time before the drone went into emergency landing mode — but of course, that’s not really a good reflection of real-world use. During our normal flight tests, where we flew around and made use of the drone’s many subsystems, we averaged about 23 minutes of flight time. Like any other drone, if you use features that require more processing power (obstacle avoidance, Active Track, etc.), then you can expect to see a corresponding drop in flight longevity.

HIGH RESOLUTION
Typical "2K” screens inside the goggles are split into two 1280x1440 sections, one for each eye. When viewing a 16:9 image, some sections are further cut off,leaving only a quarter of the available pixels. DJI Goggles have two 1920x1080 screens providing more than twice the amount of pixels of a typical 2K single screen.
OPTICAL DESIGN
DJI Goggles use a beam splitter to display an image in front of each eye, as well as polarization to prevent any image overlap. This allows it to create genuineFull HD 1920x1080 resolution per eye. When used with the large aperture aspheric lens, an 85° field of view per eye is created for maximum immersion.
HEAD TRACKING
Your head movements control both aircraft yaw and camera tilt in Head Tracking Flight mode as with remote controller sticks. All you need to dois turn left or right to yaw left or right, and straighten your head to stop turning. In Head Tracking Gimbal mode only the gimbal will move without affecting yaw

INTELLIGENT FLIGHT
DJI Goggles are a perfect pair with DJI's new Intelligent Flight Mode: Fixed-Wing Mode. In this mode, the aircraft doesn’t turn left or right but instead flies forward with enoughrotational movement for realistic flight simulation. Combined with Head Tracking Mode, you can use your head to control the Mavic Pro for a fully realized flight experience.An AR trajectory prediction feature in Fixed-Wing Mode makes using this mode in complex environments safer. Other Intelligent Flight Modes include Terrain Follow, ActiveTrack, TapFly, Cinematic Mode and Tripod Mode.

Ultra-Light Zenmuse X5 Filters
PolarPro developed the X5 filters to be as light as possible to ensure smooth gimbal movement. Constructed out of UHD glass each filter is multicoated for capturing the sharpest images possible. PolarPro has also developed specialty ND/CP filters to avoid stacking filters and causing gimbal overload.

2. The Zenmuse X5 MFT 15mm filter engineering is designed to be as lightweight as possible to ensure smooth gimbal operation.
3. Included in this 3-Pack are:
1) UV Filter: The UV filter is used for lens protection during flight/crashes when you do not need any aperture/shutter control. This UV filter will also cut haze and make clouds pop a bit more. Multi-Coated UHD glass for pristine optics.
2) CP Filter (Polarizer): The CP filter is used for reducing glare off of the ground, water, and sky. This filter is especially important while flying because shooting from an elevated perspective causes the camera to pick up a lot of reflection of the ground. The polarizer helps improve color saturation in bright scenes and also improve contrast. In addition to glare reduction the Polarizer will make the sky a deeper blue and allow clouds to pop. 3) ND8 Filter (3-stop): The ND8 filter reduces 3 f-stops of light. Generally speaking, trying to hold aperture at f2.8 or f5.6 the ND8 filter would be used on a cloudy to partly cloudy day to knock shutter down to 1/60th. Multi-Coated UHD glass for pristine optics.
