Designed with the Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) to enhance your foot's natural gait and movement off the ground, the shoe includes the Guidance Line--a vertical flex groove--for improved efficiency during your runs. The GEL-Kayano 19 features a GEL cushioning system in both the front and rear of shoe for maximum flexibility and shock absorption.
Stable Support with Lightweight Midsole System
The GEL-Kayano 19 features the Space Trusstic System, a stabilizing feature that creates a pocket next to the midsole for more efficient foot function while maintaining the structural integrity of the shoe. Made with lightweight Solyte material, the midsole also features dual-density DuoMax for support and stability. The DuraSponge outsole is made of ASICS High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR) for cushioning and durability.
Comfort Features Cushion Foot and Reduce Irritation
The shoes feature a Biomorphic Fit upper with breathable, stretchable mesh material that reduces irritation and helps keep your feet cool and comfortable. A ComforDry sockliner cushions your feet and helps prevent odors.
Personalized Fit and Support
For a custom fit, the GEL-Kayano 19 features P.H.F. (Personalized Heel Fit)--two layers of memory foam around the collar that mold to your heel. The heel of the shoe is designed with a Heel Clutching System that provides support while improving fit.
