It's an eight-pound line rod, but you can go up or down a line size with no problems. It has a soft tip to cast light baits, yet enough power to handle big fish. It works really well for fishing baits that are just too light to cast and control well with a baitcasting outfit. E6X gives you incredible performance at a reasonable price.
